Athiest...Isn't fulfilled Bible prophecy proof enough that the Bible is God's word?

If I say that tomorrow, I will wake up, eat breakfast, and go to school, does that make me a psychic when that happens?

"Bible prophecy" is absurdly vague. You can interpret it to mean just about anything you want it to. And you can't even prove that Jesus existed at all, let alone that he was anything other than a man.

No. You need to establish first that Jesus existed, and have (at minimum) corroborated evidence that he fulfilled these prophesies, and that he rose from the dead. You only have CLAIMS that Jesus fulfilled the prophesies, not evidence that he actually did so. Even assuming these prophesies are specific enough to be taken seriously.

No, they wrote their story of Jesus after looking in the Old Testament to see what they could force to fit their story of Jesus.

"Everything in the Old Testament is perverted and distorted into meanings never intended by the writers. The practice which the writers of the books employ is not more false than it is absurd. They state some trifling case of the person they call Jesus Christ, and then cut out a sentence from some passage of the Old Testament and call it a prophecy of that case. But when the words thus cut out are restored to the places where they are taken from, they give the lie to the New Testament."
Thomas Paine

I'm not really atheist, I just don't claim to know what the "truth" is. Still, is there any actual proof that the Bible is even true? It's just a book.

Sure. I remember in 1987, the end was nigh... it was 40 years after the creation of Israel, bar code scanners were the mark of the beast, and Ronald (6 letters) Wilson (6 letters) Reagan (6 letters) was the President.

That the Rapture happened and the world ended right then was more than proof enough.

Further back?

You mean that whole "he will be dead for three days and three nights" and then that guy supposedly died on 3pm Friday night and was up again by Sunday morn (two nights and one full day, maybe 39 hours)?

Oh yeah, that was real convincing.

At least as convincing as the last fortune cookie I got. It said that the world is waiting for me to show off my skills (in bed). At least as likely as your thing.

wasnt jesus zupposed to return befor all his disciples died. isnt that proof enough you are stupid and jesus lied

Oh, you BOB, you wacky subgenius, you.

You fulfilled all the prophecies of Poe, don't you?

You can't use the NT to prove the OT that's called circular reasoning.

No it isn't. I have read those prophecies, studied them, and found them laughable. You REALLY have to have a great deal of confirmation bias and imagination to call those prophecies "fulfilled". Particularly since there is no evidence that Jesus existed in the first place.
