I'm going to upgrade my laptops hard drive tomorrow and I would like to backup its contents to dvd, so i can have my laptop be exactly the same as it was before i swapped the drives. (btw best buy has 640gb sata drives for $109)
I plan on re installing osx from my install discs, but i just want to migrate ALL of my settings (email, firefox, custom sounds, programs installed) pretty much everything but my music and pictures.
I do not want to clone my drive onto the new one, and I'm not going to buy an external bay to do data transfer.
can someone help me?
