I can't tell you any bad things about our Mini Schnauzer. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. She LOVES all 4 of our children. She is soooo loveable and soooo smart. She potty trained very quickly and we trained her to ring jingle bells hanging on our door knob when she wants out. Her expressions are the cutest I've ever seen in a dog. I've never noticed her try to hunt anything... so I'm not sure what to tell you there.
I highly recommend one. A total joy...
ADD: I also wanted to say that I've read that Schnauzer's are supposed to be yappy, barky dogs... however ours doesn't bark at all. That's why we trained her to ring the jingle bells. We never hear her bark. Not even when we have visitors. She does a little dance in front of visitors, but never barks. (She is sooo darn cute.)
