best cruise line for alaskan cruise?

i have never been on a cruise, but I feel like it might be the best way to see Alaska. From you frequient cruisers, what is the best cruise line for an Alaskan cruise and when would be the best time to go?

Princess in my book is the best and many others agree. I have cruised with Princess to Alaska 2 times and booked a third time for next year. Thus far I have 10 cruises complete, all with Princess. All I can say is if they we not great, I would have cruised with another cruise company years ago. Now as far as the best time to go, here is a run down. If you want the warmest weather, then go in July. If you want the best prices go May or September, but the weather is cooler at that time. If you want the best chance to see bears, then August is it because that is also the time the salmon are spanning. Finally, if you can afford it, do a cruise/tour. That is when you spend time in the interior either before or after your cruise. The best thing about Princess on cruise/tours is they own several of the hotels that are perfect for a most memorable cruise/tour. They take care of everything!
