Blue Ray Player Needed or Not Needed?

I have a laptop DVD/CD burner and player and there's this blue ray DVD I want to get and play on my PC. But since my laptop isn't a blue ray player there is no way to play it is there?

Is there another way I can play the blue ray disc from another source and put it on my PC?
 
You can always look for the DVD version of that movie but I know in some movies they don't have them so their are other alternatives. Instead of watching it in the computer you can watch it on a blue ray disc player connected to your high definition tv or there's some laptops out there that have the built in blue ray disc players but are highly expensive. Or you can simply watch the movie on Netflix if you have an account and if they have the movie or whatever you want to see available.
