hi,i've recently got an HD tv 1080p and i have a philips hdmi usb dvd player which can upscale normal dvds to 1080p.Do i really need to get a blue ray player?would the picture and sound quality be a lot different/better from what i'm experiencing now?
Your not going to get the video and audio like a blu ray will produce and the dvd player might say it can unscale to 1080p, but it's really 1080i. Plus the dvd player can not play blu ray discs
However, If your happy with it now, why change. Most eyes can't tell the difference anyway
