I'm thinking of buying an older model BMW convertible (2001 model) and have always been a little iffy about soft top convertibles, so I have a few questions about the canvas roof if anyone can help.
1. What's the maximum speed you can operate the roof at?
2. What's the build quality of the roof like?
3. How noisy is it in the car when the roof is up? (rain, road noise etc)
4. How resistant is it to tearing and damage from hail? I know hail is very rare in Sydney but there have been a couple of decent hailstorms that have caused damage to our cars before.
