Boy Troubles and Bad Rumors?

This boy that i became friends with and that i like is also friends with my ex friend's sister who doesnt like me at all because she used to go out with him. me and him obviously like each other and talk and hug and stuff. we even kissed once. but, yesterday he texted me saying " i heard you lie a lot" and i asked "from who?" and he said "people" and i said "what do i lie about?" and he said "i heard everything in general" so i was veru upset and shocked because i dont lie. i mean once in a while to my sister or my parents about homework or something but i am not a chronic lier who lies about everything in general. i am not that stupid. so i can obviosuly tell that my ex friend and her sister told him. when i asked if he believed them he said "well yeah" I want to show him that i am not a lier and that they are just bad rumors but he seems a little distant from me and i am stummped. please help me, i have not a clue on what to do!!!!

Just move on. You will lose brain cells dealing with this problem, no matter what you feel about this boy, or how well you can lie (joking)! If the way they look at you is unsettling, or true, then this is an excellent opportunity to improve yourself as a person. Once you have been branded as a liar, you are going to have a tough time proving otherwise. If you insist on proving yourself, you need to meet with the boy and look him in the eyes and explain yourself. Good luck.
 
Just ask him"How many lies have you caught me in so far?"
When he says "none" ,then tell him you'd appreciate it if he considered you innocent until PROVEN guilty.
If he seems to be trying to go out of his way to make you a liar, then assume he wants to stop seeing you but is too gutless to tell you the truth and is using these other people as an excuse.
