I just got Birth Control from a clinic telling me to take the first pill the first day of my period. Well, I took it about 2p.m. and now Its 4a.m. Is this a normal side effect of the pill? The brand of pill I'm taking is Nortrel and I'm 19 years old. Also, they feel like they might be a little swollen but I can't say for sure. Is this also a side effect?
I took an emergency contraceptive before and it made my breasts tender and swollen before but it went away after a while. I'm not sure if its the same way with the BC because it also affects your hormones.
