I had a tooth pulled around a month ago, and during the extraction the tooth broke. I mentioned it to the dentist, asking what the loud crack I heard was, if the tooth broke, and said that it felt like the tool he used (pliers?) had gone up through the inside of the tooth. His response was, "No, it didn't" or something to that effect, calming my fear at the time. He didn't even look at the area after pulling the tooth, so I figured it was the tooth scraping against my jaw.
But---it turns out there is still a piece of tooth in there as it is poking out through the gums along the side. I need to know if there is something I can do beside going to another dentist (or the same, I know it's got to be taken out) because I was lied to. BBB? Or what? I tried calling the office and asking if they would fix it already (which will cost THREE TIMES as much as getting it pulled!) and I was informed "He didn't screw up" along with "I'll tell him that there is a problem." This dentist schedules way too many patients and honestly I feel like he doesn't care about his work as much as he should. Can anyone help?
