I'm supposed to give a short video from a recent school event to one of my teachers via DVD. I have the AVI file on my Macbook, but cannot seem to figure out how to actually transfer it. I have iMovie 7.1.4 and DVD+R discs to work with, but cannot figure this out!

The file is too big to send in an email, but any suggestions, including via a safe website he could download the file from, would be greatly appreciated.

I'm kind of desperate. I just need to be able to have him download or have the file in some way!

Thanks in advance!

Open Imovie. Put the AVI file on the timeline ( I assume it will take it). Imovie should have the ability to make a DVD.

You can set your iDVD project to start the movie on insert of the disc though. Click on the hierarchy button, first round one of three near the bottom center, and drag your movie to the square that says "Drag content here to automatically play when the disc in inserted.". If the movie has chapters, then drag the first one to that location and remove the rest.
