Price 7,999 < I will be giving 3000 down. I fell in love with it , it is black and silver, I have no experience whatsoever but I will take MSF course before sitting my a.. on it, I will buy a good gear to be protected.
I heard that the first year of insurance is gonna be really hi!. im 20 yrs. so how much is gonna cost me insurance in one of these>
I just really fell in love with, Im, 5'6 and I cant touch the floor with my feet perfectly, and it doesn't
weight that much.
I know the whole topic about starting in something lower in ccs, but why I cant start on that, Im not gonna be racing or anything like that.Im gonna be driving it like a granny drives his old lincoln. and with to time ill be getting some skills and then I can drive with a little bit of speed.

anyways what do you guys think, also how much would that go monthly on payment, not taht much right.
ok thanks

No one is saying you can't start on a 1000cc bike just make sure you sign your organ donor card.

If this is the first bike you buy, it would also be the last thing you buy.

This is a really stupid idea for all the reasons laid out by the other respondents.

Not really the best plan I have heard this week. Want to be an old motorcyclist some day? Then heed these words of wisdom: Never let your enthusiasm get ahead of your skill. You already have.

You don't to be racing to let that thing kill ya dead before you blink.
it's called power to weight and it out performs a Formula 1 car.
Pilots learn in a Cessna 152 before buying a jet.
I'm 5'6" and been riding since '68, I want no part of a 1 litre bike.
If you can't put your feet down it's like riding a top.
BUY a beginner bike, a GOOD USED bike that can fall over, not an $8,000 piece of art. Most beginners don't crash, they fall over at walking speeds.
Get enuf insurance to fix the bike and More than enuf life insurance to take care of Mom, then sign your Donor Card.
Depending on the Agent, he will either scream or drool when you give him the specifics.
A man's dream must exceed his reach
or what's a heaven for.

Hey bro, i'm ot going to tell you what to do like everone els. Honestly though they are correct in their opinions. That bike isgoing to be way more than you can safely handle, there is no such thing as "granny driving" a Liter class (1000cc) motorcycle. Just Looking at the throttle will make tat bike do wheelies, trust me i own an R1 (yamaha). And while you do have the sense of choosing the most forgiving of all the Major Literbikes( out of the top 4 japanese manufacturers) it's still ALOT more than you can chew off. I'f i may make a suggestion why don'tyou take the MSFcourse first, and then take a friends 600cc bike for a spin? OR have someone take u for a spin so u can get a better inkling of what your dealing with. If you decde to gothrough with buying it though( and i'll admit she is SExxxxxxy ^^) then Best of luck to you bro.

Ps. if u get the one with the mode selector on it then put it on the one meant for Mildest power delivery. ^^

I don't think this is a great idea... Pretty much all the beginning bikers say "oh, I can handle the big bikes," or "I won't go fast on it." Next month we get to see their bike in the front page of the newspaper, usually below the words "high speed crash kills biker." The best thing to do is start off on a small bike, and then upgrade. Let me tell you this- you WILL drop it. Not you might, but you will, unless you have one incredible amount of luck. Would you rather drop your starter bike, or your $7,999 brand new bike? I never thought I would drop my bike, but I layed it over about three times. It's just a 250. I suggest you start off small. I don't wanna see your bike on the front of my newspaper.
