okay well i am a semi -fit 14 year old girl, and i want to try out for cross country next school year. practice /try out starts in august (middle of august) i believe, so i don't have plenty of time. I have fairly long legs(if that makes a difference) so i can be fast, but my stamina is missing. I do dance, karate, swimming, but running is a totally different field for me. yet, due to personal conflicts, i must join cross country. My plan is to run a little everyday, gaining distance each time, (since cross country is distance run), and at the same time stanima and speed. I would like you guys to tell me if i can make it- keep in mind i only want to be good enough to get in, i do not plan on becoming a world time breaking runner- with the amount of time and my plan. Also, could you guys give me a good running schedule to follow each day, and tips /guidelines to get better?
