can a car with a carburetor also have cruise control?

I know that fuel injected cars can have cruise control because the fuel injection is electronically controlled. But a carburetor is mechanically controlled so how would it work, or does it even work?

They are vacuum controlled from the vacuum the engine make,the new cars use electronic control.

Cruise control was an option on cars for decades before fuel injection. It wasn't as precise as today's units but it was very reliable and a lot cheaper.
