Can a police car, I.e. volvo T5 going the opposite direction catch you speeding?

as above, can a traffic car driving in the other direction catch you speeding?

It CAN, but not 100% accurately. The only way to 100% calculate your velocity is if you were both heading directly towards each other.

In that case, if, say, the relative speed is 120 MPH, and he's doing 40, he can calculate that you're doing 80. But if you're across the median or divider, well, hmm, it woudl mean that you're doing MORE than 80...
