...DivX converter on my computer? I accidentally downloaded it via an updating of software on my real player. I had no idea at the time that they had since the last time I updated merged or whatever with this DivX stuff and I have absolutely, absolutely (and yes, it bears repeating) no desire to purchase it, let alone even want it on my darn computer! If anyone could help me out with this and tell me how to stop it, like do I just uninstall it or something, I would be truly appreciative. Thank you : )

You're just needing to uninstall DivX.

To uninstall a program, follow these steps.

Go to: Start > Control Panel > Add or remove programs.

Once there, wait about a minute for the installed programs list to load completely.
Once it's loaded, scroll through and find DivX (or what you want to uninstall), and click on Change/Remove.
A Dialogue will ask you if you want to remove it.
Click yes.
Once it's done removing, restart your computer.

It will then be gone!
