Can I attach my psp to my ps2, to use the ps2s controller?

I was wondering, if i could attach my psp to my ps2 and use the ps2 controller on the psp. Or is there another way of attaching the ps2 controller to the psp. I have the 2004 psp if that helps (the one before the 3000).
