Can I Get My Drivers License In A Month?

So I'm 21 and for a variety of medical reasons, the ability to get my license at a younger age wasn't possible. Now that I'm in college and doing well, the time to get it is obviously now. So, today I finally received my permit and, given that my school is in L.A., and I'll be needing to have to drive to an internship that begins at the end of August in that area, will it be feasible to get my license before then? Keep in mind, I have no driving experience, but I was thinking of signing up with a driver's school. But am I pushing it and doing this too quickly given how little time I have left? Especially given that I'm going to be throwing myself on to the L.A. freeways? Will I be able to do this?
