I want to learn yoga and I don't really have time or want to learn yoga somewhere by myself and I don't think anyone would go with me, can I learn how to do yoga if I buy a yoga video that is like being with an instructor just at home, I know that if I do it like this that it wont be perfect but would it still work? also are there different types of yoga if so what kind should I do?

When learning something new it's a lot better to have someone who has some practical experience of the positions and moves AND can provide feedback. A DVD in combination with a book is perhaps better than nothing.

This is ok for the most basic moves - but remember that a DVD can't provide feedback and there are health and safety concerns with more advanced positions.

It might be better if you could locate a class to attend at a local sports centre or community centre or something.
