Can I play mp3 on DVD players without USB input?

I'm planning to burn mp3 on DVDs, any advice on what to do? It's an old DVD player. It can't even read DivX files.

Will not work. Just fork out the $30 dollars and get an updated DVD player. Or go Blu-ray.
