If you port your number before your Verizon contract is over, you will effectively end your Verizon service and Verizon will charge you the early termination fee. A Verizon phone cannot be used with Sprint. The only Verizon phones that can be used with AT&T are Verizon's global phones and the global phone would have to be unlocked.

i have till April on my verizon contract and I seriously want I a new phone. So if I'm still under contract can i port my number to sprint or AT&T and keep my cell number? Would I keep my old cell or get a new one for that carrier?
