can i run my small ASUS pc desktop on its side?

its smaller than the bulky playstation. i got it as a christams gift boaught from best buy. it runs better than the other 2 older vista pc's.
it seems to have vents on both bottom and top. i wonder if it would be as ok to lay it on its side. if i could i can put the small speakers ontop of it.
 
as long as you keep dust out of the cents you keep exposed and clean out the dust regularly you should be OK
