Can i use the Motorola TK30 bluetooth car kit on its own without a car stereo?

My car stereo keeps getting stolen. I'm sick of it. I was hoping to only use the TK30 on its own. Its very small and can easily be hidden. Is this possible? Or do I need a car stereo to attach it to?
