5spd, its a 302 HO I have bbk headers, duel exhaust outta my headers, 4;10 rear end, posi, and jus got 100 shot of NOS....


OR a 2003 nissan 350z cold air and an exhaust? who would win?

this is a no contest for the nissan as it has modern technology.
your old lump is just that an old lump of an engine typical ford no idea about anything to do with automotive engineering.
just made for a big old body which rolls all over the place and is just a typical piece of junk.
so you need the nitrous oxide to compete CHEAT. as it will not do it without and even then it could not compete on a level playing field. "tin and board ford "
well if you will take a sledge hammer to crack a walnut. then anything is possible but as usual you yanks just can't except you can be beaten, by a car where technology is the real answer even theCobraa was originally one of our car designed and you had to shown how to use that old engine in the AC COBRA. yes shelby did breath more life into it but only after he had been shown how by us brits.
 
The top speed of a 1988 mustang gt is around 140-155 mph, where as the top speed of a 03 Z is somewhere around 156mph. It looks like you're gonna put in some NOS, Dual Exhaust should help with the power. Don't know if an automatic is going to give you an advantage over the possibility of the Z having a stick.
