can ps3s play blue ray dvds and does it need like a speical tv?

like can they play blue ray dvds and what type of tv does they need to play blue ray? thanks xD
 
Yes the system has an integrated Blu-Ray player all the games are Blu-Rays. To watch in HD(Blu-Ray) quality you need a HD-MI cable going from your PS3 to any HD ready TV which is nearly all nowadays.
 
one of the best features of the ps3 is the built in blu ray/ dvd player, since it is cheaper than most blu ray players. you don't NEED a special tv to play the blu ray discs on, but its nice to have an hd tv+hdmi hook up for the ps3 since blu ray is meant to be watched in hd. you can watch them on an sd tv, but that kind of defeats the purpose of blu ray doesnt it?
 
yeah it has a built in blu-ray player. and you need a HD ready TV, it is best to get one of them and a HD-MI cable otherwise it wont work.
 
yes it can

not sure if it can play on 10 year old or older tvs but it can probably play on a regular lcd
 
yes ps3 does blu ray and on any tv but you wont get hd unless you watch it on an hdtv
 
Yes, they play blu rays. You can use any tv but to appreciate the higher quality picture I would recommend an hdtv.
