Can someone compare and contrast Judaism and Christianity please?

The Jews rejected Jesus because He failed, in their eyes, to do what they expected their Messiah to do—destroy evil and all their enemies and establish an eternal kingdom with Israel as the preeminent nation in the world. The prophecies in Isaiah and Psalm 22 described a suffering Messiah who would be persecuted and killed, but they chose to focus instead on those prophecies that discussed His glorious victories, not His crucifixion.

The differance is that Judism does not beleive in Jesus nor the NT.

John 14:6

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Isnt it interesting that the one thing they dont beleive in, is the most important of all and that Christ is the only way to heaven? They go back to their roots, the ones who didnt beleive Jesus even when he was right in front of them on earth.

I believe that there is a homework section, but I'm here anyway, so I'll help you.

Christianity- Follows the teachings of Jesus (me) via the New Testament
Judaism- Does not accept Jesus (me) as the Messiah. I don't know why...I'm certainly cool enough to be the Messiah.

answer: simple - there are 23 actual prophecies about the Jewish Messiah. He fulfilled only 1 - he was Jewish. The Jewish Messiah will fulfill ALL of them in one lifetime. What is claimed about Jesus proved/proves that he was NOT the Jewish Messiah. A divine savior that takes on the sins of others and was a sacrifice is abhorrent beliefs in Judaism and what the Jewish Messiah will NOT be or do.

divine birth/divinity - (the Jewish Messiah will be human – G-d cannot become human – Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 44:6, Hosea 11:9, Ezekiel 28:2, Numbers 23:19) - strike

performing miracles - (JM won't perform miracles) - strike

taking on the sins of others - (no one can take on the sins of others – Deuteronomy 24:16, Exodus 32:30-35, Ezekiel 18:1-4; 20-24; 26-27) - strike

breaking Sabbath - strike (JM will be observant) - strike
