Iam starting junior college next month and today I did registration of classes. I actually want to learn songwriting so I registered for introduction to poetry course which helps in intensive study of poetry; reading, discussion, and analysis of structure and meaning in selected poems. Do you think this course is any good in helping to learn to write songs? They also have Music Fundamentals and Comprehensive Musicianship courses but I couldn't register to that cause it was already full. So do you think I should keep the introduction to poetry class or should I drop out of it cause it won't help in songwriting?
