Can the police find a hit & run car with car description & picture?

I was involved in an accident, the girl decided to try to make a one lane bridge into a two lane bridge. I got her to pull over, after calling the police, she refused to give her name or information. As soon as she got back in her car I was taking photos of her car fleeing the scene. I cannot zoom in clear enough to see the license plate. Are the police able to find the tags if I cannot.
 
Possibly. But I doubt it. They have no way to prove it's her without a plate. It's your word against hers
 
Probably not and it doesn't really matter as far as you are concerned.

You have a police report listing the accident as a hit & run with the car that caused the accident fleeing the scene. That's all your insurance company needs to pay for your repairs under your uninsured motorists section of your car insurance policy.

Call your insurance agent today and explain that you were involved in a hit and run, you have a police report and you want the car repaired under your uninsured motorists coverage. It is zero deductible and if the police ever find the perp the insurance company will sue them to get their money back.

You don't have to do anything but make one phone call to your insurance agent.
