E EvelynTheModifiedDoge Member Nov 15, 2011 #2 Yes, that would be illegal. You cannot put a plate on a car that's newer than the car.
C champer New member Nov 15, 2011 #3 You cannot use a plate which gives the impression that the car is newer than it is.
B BigJohn Member Nov 15, 2011 #4 if you transfer the plate from one car to the other, like if you sell one to buy another, instead of buying new plates you transfer the tags. it is however illegal to just put them on another car without the transfer of information.

J JG Member Nov 18, 2011 #8 Nope, you can't put a plate on which is newer than the car... an older one is no problem though.
