My touch screen is barely responsive and I have not been able to find a way to text without it. I don't think there is a way but if anyone knows one it would be much appreciated.
edit: yes I realize it has a slide QWERTY keyboard, i can open a text and type one out fine, it's sending the text that is the problem. The only way I know how to send is by pressing reply and send, both touch buttons.
