Can't play RB2 downloaded songs on Friend's xbox?

I brought rock band 2 and my hard drive to play at my friend's house. I put my hard drive in his xbox and signed on to my profile. everything in rock band 2 was there- character data, band data, etc. However when we tried to play a downloaded song, it says that the song data has become unavailable and it takes us back to the main menu. Help?
