Meh,
The Catholic Church has been the butt of pedophile jokes for a while.. In all honesty I'm used to it. It bothers me about as much as being called a hick for living in Iowa, or gay because I wrestle.
Considering that every religion has had pedophiles, and that in a certain religion pedophilia is not only accepted, but is expected (Islam), yes. I also think that it should be brought out in the open, and that the church needs to stop protecting the priests that are guilty of this offense.
The media made and is still making a big thing about it but they do not tell you that pedophilia is not a Church problem it is a human behavior problem that effects all religions, all countries and all people of this world. We also have to keep in mind that twenty years ago everybody was under the impression that two week of counseling was all that was needed. Today we now know that there is no cure for Pedophilia.. What the media is doing is applying today's knowledge to yesterdays problem.
As for Pedophiles l do not think that they should be allowed to breath the same ai that we breath because they do so much damage to the victim.I also wonder why we do not go deeper then that when we are investigating why they do what they do because the family is very much involved but nothing happens to them because they did not get caught.
