Cellphone to Labtop Internet for free?

I have a HTC EVO from Sprint and I was wondering if there was any free way for me to transfer my internet on my phone to my labtop. I have an unlimited data plan
 
When you connect your HTV EVO to your laptop, there is an option called "Tether Mode" along with Charging and Debugging.. Tether means internet sharing.. so that'll do the trick... but if u want a wireless hotspot u have to pay more..... Or u can get a wireless tethering app, but a rooted phone is required. Hope this helps
