God uses all people, good and bad to advance His plans. Look in Isaiah and see how the enemies of God's people were used to scatter the disobedient Jews. But then the enemies were destroyed afterwards.

There are war-hungry nuts all over the world, but the Middle East has more than its share of crazies.
Fanaticism, hate and revenge are concentrated in the region, and I can't imagine that there is any possibility of an epidemic of sanity.

Perhaps someday a comet or asteroid will fall smack dab on them, and the world will be a better place.
