clicking noise in car when going along, but stops when i accelerate.?

the noise sounds like its coming from the bottom off the engine bay. i can also feel it through my feet. iv only had the car a week second hand at 84K could it be the cambelt? or is it m ore thank likely the CV joints? thanks in advance.
