Crown XLS802d, BBE crossovers? Here is our setup:
4 JRX125 dual 15" speakers powered by two crown xls-802ds
2 JRX118s subwoofers (dual 18") powered by one crown xls802d
BBE Max-X2 crossover
When running the speakers at about half to 3/4 volume, we get the clipping warning lights. We have the gains way down and all the mids and lows set to 0 on the mixer. Is there something we are doing wrong or do we need more powerful amplifiers. Are there any techniques/setting combinations that prevent clipping? We had one of our XLS802d amps powering the subwoofers completely burn up. We were playing music about 3/4 volume level and the amp just shut off and was completely fried. Just worried here that it will do the same thing with a new one. Any advice? Thanks!
