Connected a bluetooth to the ps3?

It's a regular bluetooth that went to a phone and it said that it's connected after I got the pass key correct. Is there any other steps to making it work because it's on, but nobody can hear me on call of duty. What do I do?

Try testing it out in the chat room with one of your friends. If they can hear you, then the problem is with the game.
Another thing to take in to consideration is that you may have paired the headset with the PS3, but that doesn't mean that it is connected.

make sure it says it is connected and shows a blue circle in accessory settings and if possible, connect it directly to ps3. that worked for me.
