CREATING A WORKS CITED PAGE?

I need to create a works cited page for the story, "Allegory of the Cave."
The story is from a college textbook called, "World Views." The textbook is a collection of over 100 stories by different authors. Their are two editors for the book. The book also has a college name on the cover (if it matters...) The book is also edition 6... (if that matters!)
I will have to research what pages the story is on.

Can you give me a guideline of how to create this works cited page?
What order should the info go in, and what info should be included?

well which style do you have to use? There are so many styles. In my college we use MLA format.
