Creating reports in Access 2010?

Ive created a report and the user enters a the StartDate and EndDate and the report shows all of the results. The results are all of the records with a date between the StartDate and the EndDate. In the label at the top of the report (design view) I have entered this code:

=" These are the records found between " &[StartDate]& "and" &[EndDate]&""

When I run the report (in report view) the label just says at the top:

These are the records found between and
