NPR interviews with african americans were not happy at all, "it's a shame it took this long", "why did the chinese, indians, arabians and germans all get princesses before we did", "why does it have to happen in the jimcrow south"?
the naacp made disney change the title of the movie and the girl's name 3 times.
what's the deal?

They better be happy, best I got is Pocahontas to meet my demo lol

I read that some African Americans were upset not only because it took so long for Disney to come out with a Black princess, but because (now I haven't seen the movie) the character wasn't a princess for a big part of the movie. I guess she was a frog for the most part of the movie.
