branches of same religion? Do most Christians, Jews, and people of Islamic faith know this?

How do they justify sometimes hating each other because of their slightly differing faith?

yep, that's not really news to anybody who knows anything about religion.

False

Christianity's God has a Son named Jesus is also God. It is the the only truth.

Judiasm fell away from the truth when it rejected Jesus

Muslim never had a nodding aquaintence of the truth, because it could never accept an savior who was a jew.

So while they share similarities and a common anscestor, they are NOT branches of the same tree.

no. and your saying so does not make it so. However, those faiths are still all our brothers and sisters in Christ. is that what you mean?

No, they are not

Christianity is based on Christ, period

It has nothing to do with Judaism or Islam.

If you disagree, please explain why and cite sources

As Jesus supposedly said, it's a house divided.

Gerty: WTF is 'Authentic Christianity'?

Do you realise you clearly don't know much about any of these three faiths?

The faiths contradict each other on most core beliefs. You'd know this, had you bothered to research them prior to making your statements.

If you think we only have 'slight differences' then perhaps you'd like to PROVE this by LISTING THEM...?

After which I will be very happy to correct you.

Oh, and by the way: we don't 'hate' each other.

real Jews, and this probably goes for the other religions as well, don't hate anyone, especially each other. at most, we hate people's actions (excluding those who try to be as evil as possible, eg. Al Qaeda). hating other religions? definitely not. they are misguided, not evil.

don't judge a religion by extremists. those who define their religion by hate have no understanding of their own religion, and certainly have no mandate to criticize others.

oh and BTW, they are not one faith. Christianity is a corruption of Judaism (from my point of view) and Islam is a new religion, largely copied from both.

Yes, they do. That's why they're called the 'Abrahamic' religions...

Differences in faith have always been used to justify hatred and violence. Denominations are the result of power struggles within the church, not any divine revelation.

No I do not.
Do they sahre the same roots? Yes, However, to say we are branches of the same religion is not true.
If Allah was of the same religion, why did he not reveal himself in the Bible or the Torah?
