Do people worry that their politicians main ability is to talk his way into power?

A politician need not have any work experience at all. He needn't any teaching experience to head education, nor does he need industry experience to head the interior. The one and only thing politicians are good at is making you believe they can do something they have no idea about. Isn't this a flawed system? Does this not seem to worry anyone?
