musicman (below) You nailed my train of thought. Businesses will have trimmed the bulk of their work force by this point AND the stimulous funds will have generated the beginning phases of shovel ready construction projects.
Also, people are modifying their home loans by the thousands. This too shall lead to more stability in the housing market *however home prices will not begin to turn around until this fall).
