New systems won't be out for another 2-3 years, and the current generation has plenty of great games to come. It depends really, are you going to play online? What do your friends have, if so? Look up the exclusive games for each PS3 and 360 and decide which ones you like more if that's important to you.

Coming from someone who has both, I much more prefer the 360.

and the older versions cant use wireless internet
they overheat
and im not sure the truth of this but, you can't turn them on their side with a disc in can you?

on the brighter side, they do come with a headset, unlike the ps3.

you should go to your nearest gaming store and test out the controllers. they play a huuuuge roll in your gaming experiience. some people just feeel more confortable with different types. also if most your friends have one type of system...get that one. it will come in handy when barrowing games back and forth. only up side to ps3 is the blue ray player.
