Here are two poems I have written. Please let me know if you like it, and if you have any tips for me.
Adultery
Hush now.
This fire burning through our hearts
Will consume our souls.
Soon now
This unjust and deadly beast within
Will rampage and rattle and shock
Till we are all just pawns
For the supposedly wiser
And more experienced
Homosepians.
Just now
Lives are ruined, children brainwashed
Their souls feel forlorn.
And now
Because of this superior feeling
To diminish anything below their stance,
These foolish dire beings
Will morph our souls into their clay
To change and control, then
Let miserably dry.
The Crystalline Hearts
Family time at
The Cohen’s home,
Their crystalline
Hearts bestow the day’s success
When a startling
Knock on the door
Alerts them all.
Now rumors no more, but truth.
The door now destroyed
Enters some men
With ghastly news --
Their total source of income
Was now bashed and bruised
And glass shattered
After being much abused.
Then ripped away by
A cruel current,
Only cryptic
Thoughts will keep them together.
For whisked away they
Are, like a wee
Plant in the ground,
The roots deranged and severed.
Their hearts fragmented,
Those crystal jewels,
The deep shade of
Red which beholds love for all.
But now that love is
Ruptured and hurt,
Those dark ruby
Crystals banished forever.
by the way, the first ones title has a double meaning, sort of a play-on-word.
