Do you think it's strange when people are obsessed with dead celebrities?

I don't mean they idolize them or admire them, I mean that they are sexual attracted to them and obsess over them,
For example I have seen some John/Beatles fans that wish they were married to them or jealous of there ex wives.. or james dean, jim morrsion fans that fantizese about them.

I find it weird when people are obsessed with living celebrities, but dead celebrities? I don't get it..
 
i dont think its anystranger than obsessing over an alive celeb. celebs no matter dead or alive are inaccessible to us physically (nostly just through the tv, pics, videos, sound recordings etc) so it makes no diff if we find jame dean hot or if we find brad pitt hot. to us, ppl who will enver meet them regardless, they are just eye candy.
necrophilia however, is definately a diff story lol
 
I do love Jim Morrison, I don't really obsess over him. But if I were alive back then I would have been his
 
i dont think its weird

its just as silly to fantasize about live chracters and be jealous of their partners....its not like the ppl who fantasize about em even have a chance so idk

or just forget about them?
just because they die, doesnt make them any less attractive. if anything, it strengthens the way we feel about them, because we miss them ;(
