It's wrong to prejudice people on obvious basis, yes, but not unavoidable. Human beings naturally stereotype people on the basis of things such as physical appearance, race, or religion every single day. It's a simple mechanism we use to avoid having to build up an idea of each person's character individually, thus saving effort each time we meet a new person. Often, people use these preprogrammed stereotypes to judge a person's entire character, or values, and that is what is wrong. Very wrong. While this sterotyping mechanism is an innate and useful part of each person. It can be overridden. Next time you're meeting a new person you may automatically stereotype, why not simply ask that person a few simple friendly questions, to try and judge their character.
