do you think that Hollywood has lost the ability to make good new movies?

i have realized that most movies made in hollywood within the last 5 years have all been remakes of old movies. so my question is do you like the remakes of old movies or do you wish that hollywood would make movies that no one has ever done before?
 
Wow, you are SO right!! It's as if every film I watch is a remake. And not just a remake, but a bad one at that! Okay, I will admit there are some ok remakes, but Hollywood has GOT to get their creative juices flowing and make something much more original.
 
every movie out of hollywood is nothing but liberal,feminist propaganda..
i watched the day the earth stood still last night ...what a hate america ,hate humanity piece of crap. every movie nowadays has to have a tough woman role, a smart minority role,and a global warming, republicans are evil role. hollywood makes nothing but f--k-stain movies.

Foreigners make far better movies, usually. They know what's up. For example: Pan's Labyrinth. I would love to see Hollywood try and think of a movie like that.
 
Well, most of the movies that get nominated for academy awards are usually made from great books. So I think that the fact that people aren't as good writers as before have a effect on hollywood crappy movies. Hollywood has really degraded themselves by making horrible remakes and bringing disgrace to past masterpieces. I used to watch the old movies from way back but now a days, I watch Art/Foreign films and it really made me sad what hollywood has turned into.
 
I completely agree! It would be nice if somebody could come up with something original.
