Does anyone have an idea of why emergency lights won't work on a car?

I just bought a Pontiac Grand Prix from a friend. I checked the fuses and spark plugs and they look great. All the lights,outside blinkers and electronics on the car works, but when I switch the Emergency Light Switch the lights don't flicker. Any input would be great thanks!

There are usually 2 flasher fuses,, round fuses,, one for the flashers and one for the turn signals,, turn on your turn signal and follow the clickin noise, look around that area for another fuse that looks simular that that one,, if u find both of them swap them and see if your flashers now work and your turns prob wont,, take the bad one into the auto parts to match it,,, also,, to find the location try using autozone.com and use there free online repair manuals to find the location of the flasher fuse,,,art
