Does anyone know where I can get an old 1959, 8mm film converted to DVD or Blue Ray?

I just found a film of my brothers birthday party from 1959 but have no way of watching it. The film is on an 8mm film roll and preserved in mint condition. The entire family would treasure this film if we could all see it. My brother died in 1972 and we have very few pictures of him. so this is a real find. Please help if you can. Thank you!!!

I agree, try to find a place where it can be done in-house rather than sent out. Look up film processing locally and just start calling. Ask if they do the conversion in-house. And if they send it out, ask where they send it.

Many local towns have camera stores that offer this as a service, try to find one that does the work locally, much better odds no one will lose the film. If you have a 8mm projector (or can borrow one) and a DV camera you can do the conversion yourself by projecting the film onto a gray card and filming it with your camera.
